Varsity Volleyball Eclipses Summit

An afternoon that promised to feature all levels of the Lady Crusader Volleyball teams, was capped with a swift 3-0 victory of the Varsity squad over Summit High School. It wasn’t a day without stumbles, though. The junior high team was defeated 2-0 by Leading Edge Academy, and a scheduling mix-up caused the JV team to postpone their match with Carefree Christian Academy. The JV girls instead played a 4 vs 5 inter-squad scrimmage.

The disappointment was quickly effused when the varsity girls came out strong against Summit winning the first set handily and never looked back. Coach P is proud of his team’s strong outing and looks forward to the next varsity match against Imagine-Coolidge at 6PM on Thursday at the Interstake Center, while the JV girls travel on Tuesday to Eduprize Gilbert to take on the Eagles at 5PM.
